5 Phases, One Immersive Journey
Every simulation follows a structured arc that mirrors real organizational consulting engagements, from intake through intervention to reflective review.
Phase 1
Briefing
5–10 min
You receive a confidential organizational brief: the company background, the presenting problem, and the key players involved. Think of this as your intake file before entering a client system.
Pay close attention to what's not being said in the brief. Omissions are as diagnostic as the stated problems.
Phase 2
Exploration
15–25 min
You interview AI-powered stakeholders, each with their own personality, agenda, and blind spots. Ask questions, probe for inconsistencies, and surface the informal dynamics that never appear in an org chart.
Each stakeholder has a hidden agenda. Ask the same question different ways to different people. The gaps reveal the system.
Phase 3
Analysis
10–15 min
Apply organizational psychology frameworks to synthesize what you've discovered. This is where you move from data collection to diagnostic formulation, connecting symptoms to systemic root causes.
Use your field notes. The best practitioners write constantly, not to remember, but to think.
Phase 4
Intervention
10–20 min
Propose and 'implement' your intervention strategy. The AI system responds dynamically to your choices: stakeholders react, unexpected consequences emerge, and the organization shifts in ways that test your understanding of leverage points.
Every intervention has unintended consequences. The best OD practitioners anticipate resistance and design for it, not around it.
Phase 5
Debrief
5–10 min
Receive AI-generated feedback mapped to professional competency frameworks. Your performance is scored across multiple dimensions, with specific, actionable insights on what you did well and where your practice needs deepening.
The debrief is not the end; it's the beginning of the next learning cycle. Write a reflection while the experience is still fresh.
What You'll Practice
MyPsychSim scenarios are organized into dynamic areas of practice, each targeting a distinct cluster of integrated competencies and real-world organizational psychology challenges.
Assessment & Diagnosis
Practice the clinical art of organizational diagnosis. Enter organizations with presenting complaints and surface the deeper systemic patterns underneath, using interview technique, pattern recognition, and diagnostic frameworks.
Key Frameworks
Organizational Change
Navigate the political and human complexity of organizational transformation. Practice Lewin's change model, Kotter's 8-step framework, and the art of managing resistance in real time.
Key Frameworks
Systems Thinking
Train your ability to see the whole system: feedback loops, unintended consequences, leverage points, and the invisible structures that drive organizational behavior. Move beyond linear cause-and-effect thinking.
Key Frameworks
Organizational Trauma
Engage with organizations carrying the invisible weight of destructive leadership, chronic stress, and structural harm. Practice trauma-informed diagnosis and intervention in systems where trust has been broken.
Key Frameworks
Workplace Violence
Navigate acute and chronic workplace safety crises. Practice threat assessment, crisis intervention, and post-incident organizational repair, in scenarios designed to test your judgment under pressure.
Key Frameworks
Psychometrics & Applied Statistics
Apply psychometric principles and statistical reasoning to real organizational data scenarios. Practice test selection, reliability and validity analysis, and communicating statistical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Frameworks
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Navigate the complex dynamics of DEI work inside real organizational systems. Practice diagnosing inequity, designing inclusive interventions, and managing resistance in organizations at different stages of DEI readiness.
Key Frameworks
Culture & Climate
Assess and intervene in organizational culture and climate challenges. Learn to distinguish surface artifacts from deeper values and assumptions, and design culture change strategies that account for systemic inertia.
Key Frameworks
How You're Evaluated
At simulation end, an AI evaluator reviews your entire session: every question asked, every decision made, every note written, and produces a competency-mapped assessment.
Diagnostic Reasoning
How accurately you identified root causes vs. surface symptoms
Stakeholder Engagement
The quality and depth of your stakeholder interview technique
Systems Awareness
Your ability to see interdependencies and second-order effects
Intervention Design
The appropriateness and sophistication of your proposed interventions
Adaptive Judgment
How well you adjusted your approach when the system responded
Reflective Practice
The depth of self-awareness shown in your notes and decisions
Tips for Getting the Most Out of MyPsychSim
Don't rush the Exploration phase
Most beginners move too fast. Slow down. Ask the same question multiple ways. Probe inconsistencies. The richer your data gathering, the sharper your diagnosis.
Use the Notes panel actively
Write your hypotheses as they form. Name the frameworks you're applying. Your notes influence your debrief score, and they make your thinking visible to you.
Failure is part of the process
In real consulting, some interventions fail. Systems resist. Leaders backslide. Stakeholders sabotage. MyPsychSim is designed to let you fail safely. Don't optimize for a perfect score; optimize for honest practice. The runs that go sideways teach you the most.
Pay attention to what stakeholders don't say
Resistance, deflection, topic changes, and emotional tone are data. The informal system speaks in silences. Train yourself to notice them.
Write a reflection after every session
The learning doesn't happen during the simulation; it happens in the reflection afterward. Don't skip the journal entry. It's where the consolidation occurs.
Replay scenarios multiple times
A second run of the same scenario will feel completely different. You'll catch things you missed. You'll try different interventions. Repetition is how expertise is built.

Ready to Step Inside?
You now know how it works. The only thing left is to feel what it's like to sit across from a resistant stakeholder, hold the complexity of a broken system, and try to help it heal.
